Professors accreditation
General regulation of Ufes (accreditation and reaccreditation of faculty members):The professors of the Postgraduate Program must produce scientific and technological studies with certified value according to the criteria established by the internal and external agencies of monitoring and evaluation in the Posgraduate program.
The professors must be registered in Plataforma Lattes, in CNPq and must maintain it updated reporting their scientific and technological studies at least twice whitin a year (up to June 30th and until December 31st).
The faculty members of the Postgraduate Programs are ranked into two categories: Standing professors and collaborators professors.
After the accreditation of the Postgraduate Program, inclusion, disconnection and the categorizing of the professors which are faculty members, must receive the approval of its colegiate body academic calendar.
The permanence criteria and the professors categorization must be established in the internal policy of each Postgraduate Program taking into account the guidelines of its area of CAPES evaluation.
The categorization of the professors will be made annually.
The accession request of a professor to a Postgraduate program will be formalized by the consent form filling to "Postgarduate program participation" seen in attaches set out in annexes l and ll of the Postgraduate Program general regulation.

The Internal Regulations of 2015 of PPGBIOTEC establishes the following parameters aimed at the performance and accreditation of teachers:
The faculty responsible for the teaching, guidance and research activities of the PPGBIOTEC will consist of professors with a doctorate degree or equivalent with production of scientific and technological works of proven value according to the criteria established by the Academic Collegiate based on the criteria established by the CAPES Area Committee.
Permanent Professors are those who work predominantly in the Program, in a more direct, intense and continuous way, forming a qualified and sufficient teaching staff to ensure the regularity and quality of teaching, research and orientation activities, with regard to the number, the regime of dedication to the Program and the academic competence of its members.
Permanent professors of the PPGBIOTEC are advisors for the Master's level and must have at least one master's student orientation in the triennium and have published at least three articles in indexed journals with an impact factor equal to or greater than 0.8 (zero point eight) or B3 in the CAPES criteria and offer one discipline of the Program per year.
PPGBIOTEC professors who have already completed at least one master's degree orientation may request accreditation as advisors for the Doctorate level, in addition to the criteria of the specific area of CAPES for doctoral supervision.
The inclusion of new professors at the master's and doctoral level will be done through the following documents sent to the coordination of the Program and subject to approval by the PPGBIOTEC Collegiate:
I. Accession form (Annex I or II to this Regulation);
II. Letter to the Program Coordination explaining the area of concentration, line of research of interest, the disciplines to be offered among those existing in the PPGBIOTEC and the teaching category (permanent or collaborator);
III. Copy of the curriculum registered and updated in the CNPq Lattes platform;
IV. Memorial of your academic, didactic and professional activities that justify your request;
V. Proof of fundraising and laboratory conditions for the development of research projects in the Program.
